Nestled deep within the forest, the Upper Sanctuary offers a quiet refuge for those seeking solitude and inner peace. The nuns on Meditation Island live simply and mindfully, following a peaceful rhythm of meditation, daily practice, and community work. Every moment — from quiet reflection to preparing meals — is part of their mindfulness. The food here is homemade and cooked with the nuns’ full presence and heart, offered with gratitude and care. Their way of life reminds us that true nourishment comes not only from food, but from peace within.

Our huts rest quietly in the jungle, designed for peaceful retreat and connection with nature. Most have private bathrooms, powered by solar energy, and use fresh underground water from the island.
